Barbara Stern Burstin is a professor in the history departments at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. She has published several articles and books relating to the Holocaust and the history of Jews in Pittsburgh. ==Education== The daughter of Mildred and Joseph Stern, Burstin was raised in Farmingdale, New York.
